So each month I give away a free pair of X-Socks to the customer who submits the best product review during that month. ‘The Best’ review is determined by me and who ever else I ask to read the reviews – there are no criteria, just what I decide at that time to be ‘The Best’.

The winner for the October 2008 Free Sock Comp is: Ron Parker and here is his review of the Trekking Extra Warm Socks

I have used Smartwool socks up to now because there weren’t any real alternatives until these.
Comfort and fit, like all x socks is superb and the clincher for these socks are the raised sections on the top of the foot and the ankle which allow the sock huge flexibility to bend without rucking up. Look at the socks you use. Put them on and bend your foot. Do you get wrinkles on top of your foot and around your ankle? You don’t with these socks. This gives longer term comfort and less rubbing within your boot.
Oh, did I mention that they’re pretty warm too?

Congratulations to Ron, I’ll email him later today to give him the good news. I chose Ron’s review because he hit the nail right on the head when describing one of the advantages of the Trekking Extra Warm Socks over conventional outdoor socks.

Here are a couple of the others:

Sarah Cheetham on the Winter Run Socks

Returning to running after an injury meant that I wanted to do everything I could to ensure i stayed injury free and so of course attention has to be paid to the feet. Whilst suitable trainers are of course essential one should never underestimate the difference a pair of socks makes! Having tried various other well known branded running socks in my so far short running life, my quest continued to find the perfect sock for me and so i turned to x-socks which were slightly more expensive than others on the market. But wow you certainly get what you pay for and they really do do exactly what they say they do. The socks are labeled L and R and so you know that the socks technology is tailored specifically for each foot and from the minute you put them on you will instantly feel the difference compared to other socks. The added cushioning around the ankle gave me extra confidence when running and every run is a blister free and extremely comfortable one!

Jo Hesketh on the Run Energizer (Compression) Socks

I wore these socks in a half marathon at the weekend & they helped me along to a PB! My legs feel good today, better than I would usually expect after a hard race! Will definately be using them in my training up to the London Marathon 2009!

Well done to everyone that entered, well done to the runners up and well done to Ron.

To everyone else: don’t give up now, this is real, get submitting your customer reviews of the products in my shop at www.buyXsocks.com and you will be entered in the December Free Sock Comp – simple as that.

=> You Gotta Be In It To Win It.

Have fun everyone.
