Discover X-Socks Benefits with The Discovery Range
Apr/100
OK, so you’ve been using cheap sports socks forever and even though your feet get hot, sweaty and develop blisters that’s OK because your socks were cheap. Right? Well there is a better way forward, a better path to chose and being shown the route is not that expensive at all.
If you’ve heard of X-Socks but thought they’re WAY TOO EXPENSIVE then let me tell you a little secret. In fact, even if you haven’t heard of X-Socks before and you’re looking for some great value sports socks then I’ll tell you as well.
It’s not actually a secret of course, it’s just that with all the hype surrounding many of our socks the more simple ones sometimes get overlooked. I can tell from the web stats that the expensive socks are clicked on more often, but there are a number a variables that can explain that. Here, I want to introduce to you a range of X-Socks Sports Socks that offer supreme excellent value, perform well and offer a brilliant inroduction to the X-Socks way…
The X-Socks Discovery Range
The Discovery range offers high performance running socks, biking socks and ski socks an incredible value. This range of socks have all the essential X-Socks technical features that you’d find on the more expensive models. However, they are for discovering what X-Socks can do for you and your sport performance. So they’re not intended to be used for extreme hardcore activity, for example you probably wouldn’t want to run the London Marathon wearing the X-Socks Run Discovery Socks but you’d most likely choose the Sky Run or Run Performance models which over more padding to cope with the longer distances.
I hope you get the idea behind the X-Socks Discovery Range of Sports Socks because they really do offer excellent value and performance, the investment is small and you get to experience what X-Socks can do for you. They last well too (as long as you care for your socks), I still use my Mountain Biking Discovery socks that I have had for two years.
Let me tell you briefly now about each sock in the discovery range:
Bike Discovery Socks
The Bike Discovery Socks from X-Socks are currently less than £8 a pair and features the X-Cross Bandage, a special forefoot protector, and the AirConditioning Channel designed to remove warm air from your foot and suck in cool air from around you – these features go a long way to keep your feet cool and sweat free and thus reduce the possibility of blisters. This sock offers sensational value for the money.

Ski Discovery and Ski Discovery for Children
I know it’s April but I need to tell you still about the Ski Discovery Socks. I have had customers tell me how much the LOVE X-Socks Ski Socks, and that’s across the range right from Discovery up to Ski Metal. It is essential to have decent ski socks otherwise your time on the slopes will just be plain grim and if you’re a newcomer to the sport of skiing you’re unlikely to go back for another week just to experience the same pain and general unpleasantness – and this is very sad.
Skiing can be such fun and exhillarating but you absolutely must wear decent socks to improve your comfort, performance and perception of the activity. The Ski Discovery Socks offer all the essential X-Socks technologies and excellent warmth, you be warm and blister free.

Speed Metal Socks – 5 Star Customer Review
Apr/100
oday I picked up an 5 Star customer review of the X-Socks Speed Metal Socks, Here’s how it went:
Chris Browne
I didn’t think socks could be so good….
I do a lot of running (usually 10k and half marathons and the odd marathon) and was first given some X socks as a Christmas present just over a year ago. I would never have bought myself any socks other than the most basic ones… but having worn X socks I have completely changed that opinion! They are amazing, so comfortable and they give that feeling of extra support that is especially good for me as I have had a few ankle/foot problems in the past. I feel so much more comfortable and confident when wearing X-socks and now have several pairs – I wouldn’t run in any other socks now, a drastic turnaround from my original opinion that socks didn’t matter. My brother recently borrowed a pair of mine to do a 105km run (he is an ultra marathon runner) and I like them so much I even wanted them back after he had worn them for 105km!
SUPERB!

Sky Run Socks – 5 Star Customer Review
Mar/100

The Sky Run Socks have just been given yet another 5 star customer review. Here is what they said:

Highly recommended
I have trained for and run 4 marathons (with another next month) and countless halfs and shorter distance races wearing these socks, they are comfortable, and best of all, NO blisters!!
That’s pretty cool.
GO check out the X-Socks Sky Run Socks right now, they’re ideal Marathon Socks.
250km in X-Socks
Feb/090
There’s only 31 days to go before several customers of buyXsocks.com will be crossing the Atacama Desert in Chile. This grueling 7 day endurance foot race is held at least one mile above sea level and covers 250km and, for sure, have you got to be fit and extremely motivated to take part.
One such motivate person to do the Atacama Crossing is buyXsocks.com customer Simon Wade. Simon is an old hand to these events, he has previously completed the Jungle Marathon in 2006 (he wore X-Socks for that too) and has decided to do the Atacama Crossing for charity.
Simon is running for an extremely important cause, Type 1 Diabetes, which means a great deal for him and he has been training for over a year for this event.

Keep on runnin’
Sep/080
if you like it, of course. I mean, there’s no point in doing something you really can’t stand or that you don’t have a really important goal to achieve at the end. So suppose you are running mad or you have an interest in raising money for charity, if so then 5k, 10k, Half Marathons and the Biggies events are happening all over the country (and World, probably).
So next exciting one that I know of is the Sony Ericsson Run To The Beat London Half Marathon which kicks off at the O2 at 09:45 on October 5th 2008. Registration for this event is now closed but if you are one of the 12500 competitors then I want to know about it – let me know if you are, it would be great to hear your story.
It looks like Nokia are part of another event called The London Half Marathon (confused? So am I, only a little though) which starts at 10:00 on October 12th in Hyde Park. This event is actually called the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon and registration for this is also closed although you might be able to get in with a charity partner before this friday. Once again, if you are in on this one then let me know, it would be great to hear from you.
It goes without saying that you need to be fully prepared when going these distances. So you training has to be right and you clothing has to be spot on too. Obviously, this being the BXS Blog, I am going to mention SOCKS right now. I won’t go in to massive detail about which socks are best for you but I will say that socks are the part of the interface between you and the road – if your socks are poor quality and a poor fit then no matter how good your expensive made to measure running shoes are you will still have a poor experience.
All I am saying is: buy good quality socks to improve your comfort on your runs. There is no point having blisters, excess fabric, wet/damp feet when you can have fresh, dry, protected, blister free socks that can even prevent injuries.
Check out the X-Socks range of Running Socks on www.buyXsocks.com and if you have any questions just send me over an email (available here on the BXS web site)
Preventing Blisters – oooh
Aug/080
So, I just came across an article on eHow called “How to Treat and Prevent Blisters Caused by Running” – the eHow regulars have given the article 4 stars out of 5 and it gives you a list of 6 products and ‘treatments’ for blisters.
