Cotton Socks Fail the Blister Test

I just found an article on About.com telling us how bad cotton socks are for us when we exercise, they retain moisture and slip creating friction which will give you blisters. The article says, “We found that 100 percent cotton socks were usually the worst especially when a person started to sweat” and it goes on to recommend “different compositions of materials in different parts of the sock” as the perfect type of sock for sport.

This is X-Socks all over. X-Socks use different material compositions and different material weaves throughout the socks to reduce the potential for blisters and greatly increase your comfort.

If you wear cotton socks for exercise then you should stop now – treat yourself to some X-Socks from www.buyXsocks.com, make use of the introductory offer of 10% price reduction and grab a further discount by joining the newsletter.

Preventing Blisters – oooh

So, I just came across an article on eHow called “How to Treat and Prevent Blisters Caused by Running” – the eHow regulars have given the article 4 stars out of 5 and it gives you a list of 6 products and ‘treatments’ for blisters.

Let me tell you that I hope you don’t have to go past tip number 2. Tip number 1 is telling you to buy some decent running shoes and then, guess what, tip number 2 tells you to invest in a decent pair of running socks. The image use is, of course, an X-Sock (model: Run Speed One).
The writer of the article is quite right in saying that a decent pair of socks will wick moisture away from your feet and therefore reducing blisters. He says “stay away from cotton socks”, I agree totally.
Let’s hope you really don’t have to get down to tip 6.
